Magnolia Road Internet Co-op

Magnolia Road Internet Cooperative is very concerned about the safety issues involved in wireless technologies. MRIC has attempted to gather all of the latest information on the safety issues involved prior to committing to these technologies. The 802.11b technology that we are proposing uses very low radio frequency power levels of less than 1 watt. We also plan on using highly directional antennas to aim the radio frequency signals as tightly as possible. These facts coupled with the latest research indicate that these emissions pose no safety issues for anyone normally exposed to this technology. The exposure that the average user will experience is less than that of a cell phone used with a hands free kit. The exposure is less than any cordless phone technology.
