MISSION STATEMENT

The Magnolia Road Internet Co-op (MRIC) is a non-profit rural community wireless Internet services provider (WISP). Our goal is to provide affordable full-time broadband access to areas west of Boulder, Colorado through fixed wireless technology deployed in an environmentally conscious manner. Additionally, MRIC provides traditional ISP applications such as e-mail and website-hosting.

Volunteer labor and donated equipment will be used as much as possible to minimize costs. To aid other rural communities with this vision, MRIC will make design documents available so we can learn from each other.

We believe the widespread availability of always-on high-speed (fractional T1 and higher) connection at conventional dial-up pricing will support telecommuters, create home-based businesses, improve educational opportunities, and enhance the connected home experience.
